Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (Hindi: एक मैं और एक तू, English: An I and a you) is a Hindi romantic comedy film written and directed by debutant Shakun Batra.[2] The film, produced by Karan Johar under his banner of Dharma Productions, stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in their first film together. Actors Ram Kapoor, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah will be seen in supporting roles.[3] Originally slated to released on 7 October 2011,[4] the film later released on 10 February 2012.[2]
Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu had a decent opening at the box office. The film opened well in multiplexes in North India, while other areas had an average opening at multiplexes. The film was dull across single screens.[25]
On its first day, the film grossed about
5.25 crore (US$1.16 million) nett, with major collections coming from Mumbai, Delhi NCR punjab and Mysore.
